1. Enabling HITL and Installing the Integration:

  • Navigate to the Agent Menu within your chatbot platform and enable the HITL Agent.
  • Head over to the Integrations Hub and search for “HITL.” Install the HITL integration to unlock its full potential.

2. Designing a User-Friendly Conversation Flow:

  • Start with a warm welcome message to greet your users. 👋
  • Use a Single Choice Card to present options, including one that allows users to connect with a human agent (e.g., “Speak to a Human”).
  • Connect the “Speak to a Human” option to a new node where you’ll place the Escalate to Human Card. This card can be found in the Agents Menu of the card tray.

3. Testing and Refining Your HITL Workflow:

  • User View: Initiate a conversation with your chatbot and select the “Speak to a Human” option. You should see an automated message indicating that you’re being connected to an agent.
  • Dashboard View: Observe the conversation in your chatbot dashboard. The status should change to “Pending” until you assign the conversation to a human agent.
